Oily skin has large opened pores that attract dirt and cause acne and pimples, it is important to minimize the pores to avoid any skin related skin disorder. Remember it is an ongoing process that needs regular care.

How To Minimize Large Facial Pores

* Scrub

Regular use of sugar scrubs reduces facial pores to a great extent. Additionally it removes fine lines, removes dead skin and toxins making the skin smoother. It helps in getting rid of black heads and makes the skin radiant.

* Skin Products

Use mild skin products with the skin type. An effective way to minimize pores according to expert dermatologists is to avoid strong and harsh products. Toners and astringents with too much alcohol can cause dryness and chapped skin. As a result, the oil glands produce excess oil which can clog the pores making them enlarged. These can tighten the skin pores temporarily but can have damaging effects in the long-term. The complexion can get deteriorated as well.
Avoid oil based make-up as it can cause pore clogging and consequently making them enlarged. Oil-free products are the best for oily skin with large pores and black heads. Wear a light make-up and remove it before going to bed.

* Mask

Herbal remedies and fruit masks made at home are excellent idea as they are devoid of strong chemicals, preservatives, artificial fragrances and dyes. Combine gram flour with milk and fresh lemon juice to make a paste. Apply over the face and wash after20 minutes.
Mix two egg whites with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. Apply for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Apply witch hazel to further cleanse the pores. Do this once a week.

A sunscreen SPF 30 is a must while cooking or getting exposed to the sunlight. Sun rays can cause wrinkles, patchy skin and spots. It can tan the skin so fast before you notice.

Split End Hairs

Healthy hair is defined by thick, shiny and bouncing hair without split ends. When most of the feature is accomplished the last one is always at a risk due to one or the other reasons. Hair split ends happens when the hair's protective cuticle is stripped away from the ends of hair fibers. It happens when the natural oils from the scalp fail to reach the ends or when cortex loses moisture and the hair begins to unravel like a rope.The most reasons are:

1-Dry scalp
2-Exposure to extreme temperature and chemical products like relaxers and hair colour.
3-Lack of nourishment.
4-Excessive dying
5-Vigorous brushing and backcombing. Use of metallic combs and brushes
6-Brushing hair when it is still wet.
7-Use of uncovered elastic bands on the hair.
8-Use of satin pillows.
9-Repeated use of heated appliances like iron or hair blow dryersTrimming
Once the hair is split the only cure is to trim. Trim your hair with the help of these guidelines.

Sit near a natural light source may be near the window or outdoors in the yard to see the split ends properly.
Take a small section of hair and twist them in a downward motion. This will make the split ends to stick out automatically.
Use a sharp scissor to snip off the split ends. Make sure you cut the damaged cuticles only. This will also enhance a natural layered effect with a thick bounce.
It will take at least 45 minutes to go all around the head. Do it every six weeks lest the splits will travel up the hair and worsen the damage.Get Rid Of Split Ends
An effective remedy for split ends is trimming. Trim your hair regularly, say, about two to three centimeters from the tip. This can prevent the occurrence of split ends. To do this at home, take a small section of your hair and then gently twist it in a downward motion. The split ends will stick out by doing this.Locate the split ends, sticking out of the twisted hair, and trim them off, using a sharp pair of scissors.

To keep your hair healthy and prevent the occurrence of split ends, you should wash your hair regularly and condition it well. Always wash your hair from the root to the tip, in case of very dry and brittle hair. Since the tips of the hair strands are deprived of the protective layer of cuticle, doing this will ensure that, your hair doesn't split anymore.While conditioning your hair, apply the conditioner in your hair, from the root to tip, and cover your head with a shower cap, with all your hair inside it. Now, place a towel, dampened with lukewarm water, on the top of the cap. Leave it there for about 10 minutes. Remove the cap and rinse your hair thoroughly, with cold water. The treatment is a surefire way to get rid of split ends. This will help you to get rid of the split ends, if you do it once a week on a regular basis.In case your hair is extremely dry, apply a shampoo that contains moisturizing cream in it. This will moisten your dry hair as well as prevent split ends.

Give regular lukewarm oil massages to your hair, to prevent split ends. While massaging, make sure that you apply the oil from the root to tip of your hair. You may choose coconut oil, almond oil or olive oil for the purpose.Vigorous brushing or combing of hair can cause split ends. This is because harsh treatment of the hair may remove the protective cuticle layer from the strands. Hence, use a wide-toothed comb, to detangle your hair. Always brush/comb your hair gently.
Always brush your hair when it is dry. Brushing wet hair will not only lead to hair loss, but also remove the cuticle from the strands. Using a soft-bristled brush, comb you hair down from the crown to the tip of your strands, in a gently manner.

Dry Skin on Face

There are many reasons that you may be dealing with dry skin on your face. Anything from too much sun, too much make-up or harsh soaps, windburn, certain medications or poor nutrition can give your face a dry, wrinkly feel and look.Dryness is the result of a lack of moisture. The easiest remedy for that is to rehydrate from the inside out by drinking lots of water. If you’re making sure to get adequate amounts of water during the day, especially if you’re living in a place where there is very hot or very cold weather, this may clear up your problem on its own. But you may need some extra help.

Vitamin E has been proven to give a noticeable glow to the skin, so try eating foods that are high in vitamin E such as seeds, nuts, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, pumpkins, beets, turnips, fish, mangoes and papayas. These whole, nutritious foods may help you with your dry skin problem, and vitamin E capsules can work wonders externally. You can simply break the capsules open and smooth the cream on your face or look for gentle skin creams or lotions that have a high vitamin E content.Remember to apply any creams of lotions to your face while its still a bit wet to lock the moisture in. But don’t use water that’s too hot, otherwise it will have the reverse effect. Lukewarm water is best.

Some oils that are nice and moisturizing, as well as light, gentle and safe for your skin include coconut oil, shea butter and olive oil.Raw honey and fresh egg yolks can be mixed together to make a nice, nourishing application for your face, left on for 10 minutes or so.
Omega 3 has is wonderful for your skin, as well. Omega 3′s are essential fatty acids, essential because they must be acquired from your diet.Your body cannot make Omega 3 fatty acids on its own. These fatty acids are vital to the health of every cell in your body. They fight free radicals which can damage the skin, cause wrinkles, and lead to the breakdown of the collagen which you need to preserve a healthy glow.Omega 3 fatty acids are best absorbed through cold water fish like salmon, herring, sardines, or tuna. It can also be found in grass fed beef, evening primrose oil, some nuts, kiwifruit and eggs from chickens that are fed an Omega 3 rich diet.Harsh soaps can dry your face out, as can chemical-laden makeup. Try to use only natural soaps and makeup.

Mineral makeup is a great choice as it’s very gentle on your skin and typically doesn’t contain any of the chemicals, dyes or preservatives found in most makeups. Soaps made with milk are especially good for sensitive skin, too.You may want to consider purchasing a humidifier. The moisture that it will put into the air is great for your skin, especially if you live in a place with a very dry climate. It may be especially helpful to sleep with a humidifier in the winter. Dry skin is a sure sign of unhealthy skin, so it’s best to clear up the problem as soon as you can.

Holiday Shopping Tips

Before you head out to do your holiday shopping this year, make sure you keep your budget in mind. With the economy in a downward spiral, it’s probably a good idea to keep everything in check and to make sure that whatever you’re spending your money on, you’re spending it right. So first make a strict budget for yourself and keep reading to see the top 8 rules you need to follow for all your holiday shopping.

RULE 1: MAKE A LIST AND BUDGET IT

First, start making a list. Write down what you’re going to get every single person for Christmas and then put a price next do it. Do the same for other holiday expenses as well such as food, cards, stamps, etc. Everything should be included in your list.

RULE 2: DO YOUR RESEARCH

Do your research not only by looking through flyers, but online as well. There are tons of websites out there that help you get the best deals available such as Canada Offers and Mega Online Savings . There are also a slew of other sites out there so make sure you look everywhere you can to get the best price possible.

RULE 3: BRING A FRIEND

It’s always best to shop in a group because then you can have everyone split up and go to different places. Make sure everyone can contact one another so in case someone finds a better deal it just takes a ring! Also, you’ll cut down on your time a lot and you could actually learn some shopping tips from your friends as well.

RULE 4: DELEGATE

Decide who buys what for who. If you’re buying for friends for example, make sure you talk to one another and see what everyone else is getting too – you don’t want to end up with the same gift.

RULE 5: MEASURE YOURSELF

Before you go out and buy yourself an outfit for that Christmas party, be sure to measure yourself. Different brands come in different sizes and you won’t necessarily fit in the same size you usually take. So measure yourself first so you can void long lines at the fitting room and get some much deserved you-time.

RULE 6: PRICE MATCH AND FIND DISCOUNTS

Wherever you’ll be shopping this holiday season, make sure you get the best deals you can. At most stores, they’ll price match for you as well as make price adjustments. So make sure you always ask a store manager or a cashier for more info.

RULE 7: BEFRIEND THE STAFF

You couldn’t be better friends with anyone than with someone that works at your favorite store so don’t be afraid to make friends. Not only will they let you know of upcoming sales and discounts, but she’ll also be able to hold off on the new merchandise for you and who knows if you become good enough friends, she might even let you use her discount!

RULE 8: SHOP ONLINE

If you’re strapped for time, online shopping is a great idea. For most stores, they’ll have the same discounts as they have in store, while other stores will actually have bigger discounts online. So not only will you save yourself so time but some cash as well.

Homemade Hot Oil Hair Treatment

Hair treatments can get pretty steep in price, so I always try to find cheap and easy alternatives that I can do in my own home. Whether it be a hair treatment, a face mask, or a really good exfoliator, I can always find at-home recipes that cost me close to nothing! So here is one of my all time favorite homemade hot oil hair treatments.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

* 1/2 cup of dried rosemary leaves
* 1/2 cup olive oil

Here’s How to:

Combine oil and rosemary in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until warm all the way through. Remove from heat and strain, to remove leaves from oil. Coat scalp and ends of hair with hot oil, then wrap in saran wrap and cover with towel to retain heat. Leave on 15 minutes. Wash twice to remove excess oil.

This only takes a few minutes to do, it’s super cheap and it will leave your hair feeling soft, manageable and extremely shiny. I do this treatment about once a week to keep my hair healthy and shiny. Try it out, I promise you won’t regret it!
